CET, a leading provider of innovative energy management and power quality solutions, is proud to announce that its iMeter 5 has been specified for a major infrastructure project in Sydney. Over 1300 units of the advanced power quality meter will be installed within switchboards for the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project.
This significant volume underscores the industry's confidence in the iMeter 5’s capabilities to ensure electrical network reliability, efficiency, and safety—critical for Australia's largest public transport infrastructure project.
Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport Project
The iMeter 5 will be integrated into over 600 low-voltage switchboards and communications panels commissioned for the project's Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) package. The scope includes Segura modular switchboards and custom-designed distribution boards for installation within the tunnels and at the surface level. The iMeter 5 will provide critical, real-time data on power quality and energy consumption for these essential systems.
Staged deliveries of the CET iMeter 5 are scheduled to continue through to the end of the 2026 financial year (FY26), aligning with the overall project timelines.
"We are incredibly proud that our iMeter 5 has been selected as a core component within the electrical infrastructure for these nationally significant projects," said Calvin McFarlane, Head of the CET’s Australia office. "This endorsement reflects the meter's advanced capabilities and CET's commitment to supporting partners who are building Australia's future critical infrastructure. It is a testament to the quality and reliability that define our products."
